An Open Letter to John Nelson, CEO of Warner Pacific Insurance Services

Dear John:

You and I haven’t been introduced, but I am one of the many health insurance brokers that relies on Warner Pacific as my back office. I am writing this letter to sincerely thank you for everything that you and your team do to support my business.

I spent ten years as a broker sales representative with a supplemental insurance carrier and then joined a national insurance agency and became a health insurance broker in 2013. My agency used Warner Pacific to support much of their small group business. During this time, I got to know Debbie Blander and her team. I was consistently impressed with their industry knowledge, positive attitudes, and incredible sense of commitment and follow-through.

After 2 ½ years with the national insurance agency, I decided to set out on my own and become an independent insurance broker. My confidence in making this move was in no small part due to the support I knew I would get from the Warner Pacific team. After seven months, I am thrilled to have built my book to seven group clients, and I am very proud to say that six of them are with Warner Pacific. (I am working on getting the last one over, too!) I plan to triple my revenue in 2016, and I couldn’t do that without Warner Pacific’s support.

Regarding Debbie Blander, I know that you’re aware of her value as a colleague and as a person, but I would be remiss if I didn’t share with you how incredible I think she is. In addition to being knowledgeable and fiercely committed to serving her brokers, she is also compassionate, thoughtful and genuine. It’s no surprise that she has become one of my valued and trusted friends.

John, I know it may sound over-the-top, but I owe a good part of my career satisfaction to the partnership I have with Warner Pacific, and I am grateful every day for the team you have built and for the support you continue to provide. Building a health insurance brokerage in the ACA environment is a crazy ride, and fast responses, accurate information and reliable contacts are necessities for success. Thank you for giving me the ability to build my own business and provide the high level of service that my clients value. Thank you for having an incredible team of people that have a clear vision and a rock-solid understanding of customer service. I look forward to many more productive years of partnership with Warner Pacific.
